Fluorescence Applications Scientist

Essential Job Functions:

  • Primary function is that of applications support, with a primary focus on research fluorescence spectrometers. 
  • Sample handling, measurements, and analysis, including steady-state and lifetimes on cuvettes and microscopic platforms. 
  • Support application and technical discussions, including working with R&D to develop the next generation of HORIBA instrumentation. 
  • Create documents such as application notes, and technical notes, and support the creation of new marketing material. 
  • Attend and provide presentations at key international conferences and sales meetings. 
  • Provide installation and training support for customers. Perform demonstrations and user training in the field.

 

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Comprehensive experience with fluorescence spectroscopy, fluorescence microscopy systems, and TCSPC components, ideally experienced with HORIBA fluorescence instrumentation and software. PhD involving the use of fluorescence in materials or life sciences.
  • Although experience with fluorescence instrumentation is the primary need, experience in other spectroscopic methods such as Raman, absorbance, HPLC, MS, or GC is also critical.
