Sales Engineer I - Northwest

HORIBA is seeking an Elite Sales Performer for the Northwest Region of the United States, specifically residing within the territory.
Duties include:
- Territory Sales Engineer will be responsible for selling company solutions and products across various fields and markets, including semiconductor, Life Sciences, and Material Sciences.
- The Territory Sales Engineers is responsible for selling various tools and solutions that include fluorescence, Raman, XRF, Optical Spectroscopy Components and Custom Systems, gas-emission analysis, etc. with minimum supervision but will ultimately work with the Territory Sales Manager.
- The Territory Sales Engineer must maintain client satisfaction through consistent and ongoing client contact and engagement while upholding HORIBA Code of Conduct and Professionalism.
- The Territory Sales Engineer will be responsible for expanding business in existing Accounts and securing business from new accounts.
- The Territory Sales Engineer will handle customer inquiries, actively prospect, conduct product demonstrations and presentations effectively.
- The Territory Sales Engineer shall develop customer interest in equipment, prepare quotations and follow through for purchase orders.
- The Territory Sales Engineer shall achieve assigned sales target and develop sales strategy
- The Territory Sales Engineer will be required to attend local trade shows and must maintain a digital marketing portfolio via LinkedIn, ResearchGate, and more.
- The Territory Sales Engineer shall actively engages in new scientific markets and develops strong client partnerships.
- The Territory Sales Engineer shall stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new product
- The Territory Sales Engineer shall maintain customer/prospect database and activity using existing company Salesforce CRM.
- The Territory Sales Engineer shall prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information including forecasts, activities, territory evaluation and so forth.
- The Territory Sales Engineer shall maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline, Masters or Ph.D. preferred, or equivalent experience
- Must be experienced selling into Life Sciences, Materials Science and Semiconductor markets.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- 50% Travel required
- Prior Sales experience required with minimum of 5 years in addition to sales training from a reputable Sales Training program or company.
- Technical, capital equipment and optical / spectroscopy experience are requirement
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Power Point, Excel, CRM, and Digital Marketing
- Northwest Sales engineer covering Northern CA, WA, OR, NV, UT, WY, ID and living within the territory
- Ability to present by themselves
- Prospecting using contacts, digital media, and so forth
- Ability to drive a sale from initial contact to close
- Ability to create and deliver presentations
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results
- Fast, self-direct learning.
